MEDICAL OFFICE SPECIALIST

PROGRAM LENGTH:       18 WEEKS - 450 HOURS - 25 HOURS/WEEK  

SCHEDULE:           50 minutes of lecture, 10 minutes of rest for every hour.  Students will have 2 breaks of 10 minutes and 30 minutes respectively. 

8:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M. OR 1:00 P.M. TO 6:00 P.M. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE

This program will train the students to work in a medical office environment, covering all aspects of the industry.  Graduates will not lonely be capable to function as medical billing clerk, but also they will be prepared to handle patients from any administrative perspective, from admitting, registering, taking notes, interpreting doctor’s note, handling medical records, coding and recognizing medical diagnoses and procedures.  The course will utilize current year CPT and ICD0 books.  In addition, students will learn how to create document s, spreadsheets and databases will the objective acquiring a profound background in general office skills that will enable them to aim at a future managerial position with the medical field.
